I was smacked at school by the teacher

Back in the 60s teachers sometimes smacked badly behaved children. I had a teacher that would not hesitate to put us over her knee at her desk and smack our bottoms. This was done on our shorts but still hurt a bit. If we continued to misbehave we was taken to a store cupboard in the class room with a chair in it. The hole class went quiet listening for the sound of the slaps and then the crying. At the end of the class you would get a note to take home for your parents to sign saying why you was punished. I hated giving mum my note as she looked at me with that glare and then it was a good hair brush spanking on a already sore bottom.
