and people ask me why we dont send our kids to public school

it just came out due to our local school systems stupidity of not checking former employer references. That a teacher at our local high school was fired from his former school for having an inappropriate relationship with a student. This is why people should stop sending their kids to public schools.

I homeschool too! I don’t trust anything else and they’re actually more productive
@Mountainlady16 I want her answer to her statement.

Yes, I understand how we still do the 19th-century-style teaching in most of K-5.

I was asking what subject you studied for your bachelor's degree; apparently, you studied elementary education. Is that correct?
Mountainlady16 · 22-25, F
@SomeMichGuy yes i did which means I'm qualified to teach all core subjects k through 5. I don't have much experience with public school I did student teach in a public school but that is it. That was quite the eye opener as well. I'm getting a master's degree now I'm doing it in gifted education
@Mountainlady16 Well, your English is very poor for a teacher of either standard or gifted children. So having a certification isn't the same as having knowledge or mastery.

Most states don't handle this well.
Background checks can be fixed.

Few people I've known have the breadth to actually help their children learn the breadth of things which they ought to learn.

@SomeMichGuy yeah and he still has his job seems theres enough doubt not to fire him outright
@Mountainlady16 Lots of incompetent (and worse) people hold onto jobs because of fear of lawsuits, etc.

You fix this by wording the employment contracts properly.

@SomeMichGuy my mom says she remembers a similar thing happened when she was in college at the same high school. she didnt go there but my dad did. the man was falsely accused and before it was discovered though he was suspended and took his own life

I sent my nephew to private school because of the bullying
Sure. Because when the rich do your kids generation after generation, it's classy.
@Mountainlady16 no, I was assuming my prep academy was telling the truth when they apologized for choosing us and using us, over five decades! Kids who were sexy, adults who do us as part of the boarding school culture...
Georgetown is fine. Epstein was taught how to wrangle the young sex talent at that prep academy, but all the top schools take part. And then the kids move on to be interns, like Monica Lewinsky. But knowing did not make the Americans try to protect my generation, or anyone in the fifty years since. And the same people are still screwing the kids in the same places. Revelations don't help.
This is an entirely different cultural phenomenon from Catholic and Mormon systematic sexual abuse of children.

@Roundandroundwego you have no idea what you are talking about
@Mountainlady16 good for you! Your kids go to a religious school. Your country systematically abuses people, but you don't know about that! Especially after I told you - Trump and his daughter Ivanka went to my prep academy. They do apologize for the ten decades of the teachers having sex with us kids! And Georgetown prep does, too! Officially. That's what you "don't have any idea" about. Your kid's probably safe! Not knowing is normal. You win.
