Highschool Memories Vol.1
I remember lunchtime in the school cafeteria, and searching the crowd for a friend to eat with.
As I wandered around, I could always hear the other kids whispering or talking in hushed tones.
“There goes Billy, probably the nicest and smartest kid in school!”
From the jocks I could hear them exclaim to each other “That Billy, if he only tried out for football our team would be SO much better!”
As I passed pockets of girls huddled together, in-between their giggles I could hear them whisper “I hope Billy asks ME to the prom this year.”
This happened almost every time I made my way through the cafeteria.
I never did find out which kid was Billy.
