Do any of you here have an academic rival who used to be your biggest crush?
OK, so I'm just gonna put this out here because i'm happy that i beat my guy at his grades in Science, English and Math yesterday (we got back our scripts), but the fact that his grades are dropping and are lower than me, I'm fairly surprised and honestly a bit worried.
Like, you know that feeling when a friend of yours used to score REALLY high grades and suddenly, there's a downfall in his or her grades and you want to help out REALLY badly? yeah that's what im feeling now LOL
See, I actually expected him to do better than me. Like, WAY better than me in these subjects. But what? He scored 2, 3 or maybe even five marks below me. It's weird, but I think I know what's affecting him; his relationship.
I'm just gonna put it across; I'm 14. He prob is as well. And the fact that he's dating a girl at this age can be a bit of a 'eugh' to some, but it's a contributing factor to dropping grades. Like, you get so involved in this relationship that you forget all schoolwork and exams and you start talking to them WAYYYYYY too often yknow? and then your grades drop .-. My parents often remind me this (cos I'm aSiAn) and I can see the negative effects working on him.
So like, since he was a big part of me, I can't help but worry about this situation yk?
Even though he's not a friend of mine and that this situation doesn't involve me, he was and maybe still is the person I currently hold closest to my heart, and it kinda worries me that he may not do well for subsequent exams in the future.
but oh well, we gotta let people learn stuff the hard way, am I right? Hopefully he matures from this after he breaks up (which may not be so soon) with the girl.
