today was scary

Due to threats to several local schools the county superintendent locked down all our public schools and recommended that the private schools follow suite. Unlike public schools lock down drills are not something we regularly practice at our school though we do have procedures for it. I was in middle of having my prekers in my gifted class when it was called and I had them for the rest of the day because during a lockdown students stay where they are. I guess this also made it a bit easier because theyre not really old enough to notice something was going on. I think the first time they realized it was when lunch was delivered to the classroom rather than the kids going to the cafeteria.
