Was that okay?

So we have a new classmate. During our class, he's kinda covering his ears because to him, its too loud. He doesnt have any mental issues that we r aware of. Our teacher is already speaking at a normal level, but when the kid speaks up about it being too loud, the teacher scolds him. Was that okay for our teacher to do that?

No that definitely is not okay, from what your saying the kid has some sensory issues, and the teacher should see that and help accommodate them and make it easier for him in class.
