How far behind public school is

I am going on and getting things ready for the fall and as i look for resources online including teachers pay teacher i realize that alot the stuff marked for kindergarten on there I expect my students to come in knowing

My kids are homeschooled. My 14-year-old son just tested in the top percentile on the same test (TAKS) public schools take. Academically he taking Calculus II, English V (college freshman English), Physics II, P chem, and Government. The US should abolish the Department of Education and leave educating our kids up to the states or privatize it.

@TexChik i know my oldest reads at a 4th grade level going into 3rd grade and hes supposed to by age be going into 2nd. He is already writing in cursive and they started multiplication and division at the very end of this year. He hasn't been given any state level tests our school follows the state laws that requires students be tested minimally at the end of 3rd, 6th, 9th and 12th. My daughter who will start kindergarten this year already can do basic addition and read cvc words
