I dreaded the principals office

Especially the word ‘enter’!

Were you paddled often
pcasper59 · 61-69, F
@1olderguy20 A few times at school . It was hard to avoid the paddle as it was used quite often.
@pcasper59 What was the max you could get? Or was there a limit? If there was a max, did you ever feel it?
pcasper59 · 61-69, F
@Alfred22 10 was the max . 5 was the usual; but did get 7 once and that was more than enough . It was still easier to take than Dads belt!
@pcasper59 I bet seven got your attention. Hopefully it was just for a stupid school-only rule. Did they paddle for real crimes such as theft or serious fights? Most schools now regard the swats as a luxury for basically good kids. Really juvenile delinquent types are suspended or expelled.

@Alfred22 Yes it was for a school rule . Oh yes they did paddle for petty theft .
A more serious crime or vandalism ended with suspension with law enforcement .
Fighting and pushing each other down on purpose earned you paddle swats ! Most of those were while wearing PE shorts . Those didn’t slow the paddle down .
@pcasper59 Gym suits were super light and thin! If you dressed with extra panties or briefs for a scheduled paddling, you had to change into gym shorts and got extras for trying to insulate your bottom!.

@pcasper59 Do you mind saying what you did to get the 7 swats?
pcasper59 · 61-69, F
@Alfred22 Yes gym shorts didn’t help much . Trying to put on extra undies usually didn’t work out and the swats were harder after changing.

@OldSchool It was dumb; but trying to be in the in crowd of friends was caught smoking with them on school grounds. Luckily ended with a paddling rather than suspension.
@pcasper59 If you have on enough to help, neither you nor the paddle sounds correct! The noise and the impression are both muffled. No way will anyone witnessing be fooled. Trying always "backfires!".
@pcasper59 Do you still smoke?

@Alfred22 Never again after that along with a pep talk from Dad later that evening !
