I dreaded the principals office

Especially the word ‘enter’!

That was always scary entering the Principals office . Like the walk of doom of what was about to happen !
@pcasper59 In a school that paddles, imagine being a worker there and being an auditory witness to every application of swats! It would be very different from being anyone else employed there who was completely out of earshot. Or witness to the effects, say mopping the floor of the hall outside the Exit door to the Office. Being either sort of witness would definitely give one a lifelong perspective on the use of the paddle in an educational environment.

@Alfred22 Now that sure would shed a different light on paddling having witnessed or heard the paddlings especially going on in the Principals office . In HS our Principal office was next to the library / study hall . The Guidance counselor office first with Principal office behind that office . Yes at times you could here a lot of noise coming through the wall when looking for a book . Another student getting aquatinted with the board of education .
@pcasper59 An up close and very personal acquaintance!
