@Uniformed Yes Dad did use the belt on us for fighting especially fighting among us siblings.

@Sharon Ouch! It’s hard to not to fight back in the heat of the moment when another student shoves you down of hits you first . It wasn’t as good of an idea when bending over for the paddle or cane in your experience!

@pcasper59 Fights were usually mutual so all parties involved got the cane. It was often the beginning of a friendship.
