How should this have went?

So i dont have a vehicle amd neither does my boyfriend. It just so happened rained and the lights went out. Im trying to tell my kids that it wouldnt be a good idea to go to school today and that they are going to have to stay at home. Its supposed to rain for the next 6 hrs. Its pretty hard to convince kids. My boyfriend is going against me and trying to tell the kids aint no school going to shut down cause of the rain. Im mad at him because i feel like as a couple he should agree with me. Hes telling them that they can go because he isnt the one walking to the bus stop in the rain. He didnt even offer to order them a uber to take them or even walk them. Wpuld you make your kids walk to school in the rain?

Yes we had to walk in rain, ice, whatever. If the school tells you it’s shut then they don’t go to school. If it’s because you can’t be arsed walking in the rain then no that’s not a valid excuse (unless it was some sort of storm or flood or something)

Realistically, yes. I walked to school in the rain all the time. Unless it's like monsoon rain then I don't see the issue. I assume that they have waterproof coats that they can wear, or an umbrella.

yup. as long as it is just rain and now a threat of tornado.

I'd also check with the school and make sure they have power - if not they'll probably send the kids home.

I've walked through rain and light snow to get to the bus stop.

Seriously ?
Rain is going to hurt them ?
Take then to school !
Why should he walk them or get an uber ... unless they are also his kids ?

That’s what raincoats, umbrellas, and rain boots are for. School would be canceled if there was a danger.

Yeah thats what umbrellas are for

Yes, I would send with a raincoat and possibly an umbrella.
And in a relationship if you both agree with each other all the time one isn't necessary.

Absolutely I would make them walk to school in the rain. I had to do it when I was in school. I made sure I had a jacket on and an umbrella.

Don’t give it up next time he wants some ass 😉
It’s rain. You’ll be fine.
I'd take them.
