Why are schools promoting transgendering to children?

I joke of my disdain, but reality is i treat people respectfully in person. I truly am intrested in what this new fad is all about. As well why schools believe they are the authority of children?

I had a friend in college we'll call "Pete." Pete was raised a catholic, alter boy, went to a Jesuit high school. Always claimed to be straight, talked about the girls he was attracted to etc etc. Finally, senior year aged 22, he came out as gay. He had known he was gay since 13. Said he prayed every night for God to "change" him. Thought about killing himself. Thought about that A LOT.

Finally "Pete" accepted himself as he was. He didn't "choose" to be gay, didn't want to be gay, was stuck that way and couldn't change it. I can't help but think that in a more open school, a school that didn't try to force him into a role that didn't fit him, he would have been able to accept the truth about himself with a lot less pain.

And I can't help but think about the other "Petes" out there who can't deal with the pain of being forced into the wrong role and DO kill themselves. I can't help but think of the tragedy and the loss due to other people trying to force people into roles that don't fit them.

I was lucky, I'm cis-gendered and even then, high school years weren't the easiest socially. You were probably lucky too. Look, you don't know everything about nature and the human brain and human desires. The truth is some people are gay and can't change it. The truth is a few people are trans, and can't change it. It's happened all thru history. It's the truth about people.
@ElwoodBlues if people want to gay as adults, fine, im not going to bother them. The mass direction by schools promoting such a life is wrong. Im not saying people should be shamed, im saying let children be children leave sex out of schools.
@checkoutanytime Did you understand nothing of what I wrote? It's not about "wanting" at all. My friend NEVER wanted to be gay. He NEVER wanted to be attracked to men. But he was stuck that way since age 13.
@ElwoodBlues i rarely compute your out of this world words. If people leave the cities privileges and get back to their roots people would see how ridiculous they truly are.
@checkoutanytime And do you see how ridiculous it is for you to force people into your molds??
@ElwoodBlues my molds? Im not a new age know nothing go with the current cool thing, my friend. I find your molds to be obsolete to reality.

@ElwoodBlues jesuits are evil. No joke.
@checkoutanytime So tell me how my friend "chose" to be gay.
@ElwoodBlues taught to be a misleader, is the the culture of jeasuits. Forced?
@checkoutanytime I can't make sense of that, sorry. You're saying the Jesuits "forced" him to be gay? Even though he knew he was gay before high school? Are you saying everyone who comes out of a Jesuit school has been forced to be gay??

What about people who went to ordinary schools and came out gay - who do you blame that on??
