Can the ground swallow me up alreadyyyyy

My kid got a new teacher whilst her usual one takes a couple months off for personal reasons…. The new teacher just started this morning and apparently the entire class locked her out the room and barricaded the door 😳😳😳😳😳

The worst part is it turns out she is one of my good friends 🙈🙈🙈🙈 I didn’t even know she was coming in to teach my kiddo and this is not a good start….

She called me saying a bunch of 8 and 9 year olds made her cry on her first day 😬😬😬😬 It was kind of awkward when we realised that one of them was mine

Can’t wait until pickup time so I can ask my little monkey what the heck happened…..

There is a reason they have a hard time getting teachers. People just do not want to deal with unruly students.

@swirlie it doesn't matter where it begins, the rest of us just do not want to deal with it.

@Punches yeah, teaching would be my worst nightmare. It’s hard enough handling my own child let alone twenty of them.

@Raffiki I don't think being a teacher would be real bad if it were for college students because the college students that are there actually want to learn and the ones who don't want to just don't show up.

@Punches oh yeah that would be a totally different experience. Any time my little one tells me about what so-and-so from her class got up to that day, I always just think that poor teacher has got to be questioning her career path 😬 That’s 8-yr-olds as well, the teens are even worse.

@Raffiki of course in grade school there's always that one student that every teacher hopes they don't get. I've known a few teachers in my life and as long as they have no academic connection to your own kids, they will tell you what it's really like being a teacher.

@swirlie I am not a teacher so luckily I don't have to deal with it either way.

@Punches Yeah I thought my kid was going to be super difficult and give her teachers hell but turns out she’s an angel for them and saves her meltdowns for me 😂

@Raffiki I hate to admit this but when my son was a kid I think he was the most rotten student in our state.

@swirlie that would suck to be on an airplane and there would be unruly passengers. I mean being stuck in a machine 5 miles in the air with some belligerent person would just be sucky

@swirlie when your kid is rotten there's not a whole lot you can really do. He's of course grown up now and takes care of his family and is polite and all that. Completely different person than when he was young.
