I mean, we're all the crew on a sinking ship anyhow. What you've described is the plight of the american middle class.
Funny thing is, once the entire middle class is going broke to put all their kids in private school, the aristocrats will create a higher class of private school (call it: "super private school") just for their offspring and then regular private school will become just like shitty public school.
Thats what happened with colleges isnt it? College use to be the sorter of the high-born from the riff raff, but once too many middle class kids started getting in, colleges became useless degree factories and the rich started paying people to fudge test scores to get their little richards into Ivy League colleges that ensure the kind of jobs for them that any college use to ensure.
