Kids with teachers vs with mum

I helped chaperone an activity with my kiddos school today. It was to the beach to play games and have a sandcastle competition 🏖🏖🏖🏖🏖🏖

Of course it was all kinda strict. Kids had to wear hats, specifically school hats so they could be identified, no swimming because the teachers weren’t certified for it, staying in a specific area of the beach.

At first I thought it was so nice, getting to see my kid with her classmates and teachers and being her sweet angelic self 😇😇😇😇😇😇

Yeah… an hour in she switched to “Home Mode” and started whining at me about being bored staying in that area, wanting to swim, etc. She wasn’t alone either, there were 5 other mums there and let’s just say you could easily tell which kids were theirs. One crying about wanting a different ice cream, one constantly asking his mum to let him take his hat off. Then mine coming up to me all the time saying, “Why can’t I just swim since you can watch me???”. She was grumpy and not very understanding about it all 😂😂😂😂 I veryyyy nearly had to take her for a private chat. Then her teacher announced that I could check her out and take her if I wanted. I think she felt bad for me after all the complaining 😬😬😬😬😬😬😬

Too funny because her teacher has told me multiple times how perfectly behaved and sweet and agreeable she is 😂😂😂😂🤔🤔🤔🤔 Now she has seen “Mummy’s Edition” 😅😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂😂

Anyway she took her hat off and ran free on the beach and we went snorkelling… life is good again for little miss Eight 😅😅😅😅😅
