What Would You Do If Your Child Was Caught Skipping School?

I don't think that's going to work. This girl will be praised and called a hero by the school administration for having a transgender dad.

I never skipped school - too conscientious. My youngest brother was the one who stayed home more days than went. He claimed to be sick" and my mom was working at the time and Grandma let him stay home too late to go the class. MY sister and my other brother and me went as usual. When Mom stopped working, youngest brother still "played sick" and let him stay home. He ended up repeating seventh grade and was kicked out of school in high school when he continued to miss more days. Thank God he was working steadily at McDonald's and Mom got him on the "work program". He missed less and less school.

However, history repeated itself when his own son began claiming tp "be sick" and Grandpa and Grandma, who were responsible for his care while his parents both worked, let him stay home. He would "be sick" in the morning and recovered in the afternoon.

I would never do this but I suspect she didn't skip school again. My middle son (now 31) got caught skipping school in Year 10. I just tanned his backside and made sure he did his lunchtime detention. To my knowledge he didn't skip school again and is now a high school teacher himself.

@bowman81 I’d like to see what he would wear if she tried doing it again?
