Do you run?

I started running again a couple of months ago after a hiatus of a few years. I am always surprised and impressed about how quickly my body adopts to the challenges of running. How each time I run i can run a bit further and faster. I feel myself getting fitter. I look fitter.

The greatest benefit is the improvement to my mental health. I have went from feeling stuck in a rut to feeling I can take on the world. I love the cathartic nature of running, of being alone in my head, blocking out the whole world and concentrating on only my breathing. It is like meditation.

YES.

Don't you love your feet ponding into the earth? how it(running or jogging) connects to every part of you: breath, impact of feet on mother earth, scents and sights, if you are in nature; there are no words.
My soul loves it.

It IS meditation and "medication" for me.

I have composed more than a few poems as I am jogging.
