While at first we regarded porn at arms-length, the more we're exposed to discussion about porn and how common reading/viewing it is, the more corroborated our private sexual longings are until it's no big deal to reveal ourselves. I would argue with the term "proudly" though, because if it's so normal, there's little reason to express pride.
Alternatively, wouldn't it be better to recognize that while watching porn, we're thinking ourselves into the character of our choice, banking the internalized experience we've just had to enhance future fantasizing? That dividend from watching porn is best kept to one's self lest it become diluted through telling and retelling. Reveal lesser feelings if you must, but keep the best simmering at peak potency just for yourself. Preservation, not pride.
