Tough question! It was with Lynn. It was either the one right after I gave her an engagement ring, or on our wedding night when we kissed for the first time with both of us totally naked.

@elafina Yes. We dated almost 8 years, but I loved her too much to risk getting her pregnant. This was long ago when the pill was still not trusted completely.

@exexec I'm your age and I don't remember having anyone having any worries about the effectiveness of the pill in the '70s in the UK. Was it different in the US?

@ninalanyon My wife's father was a doctor, an ob/gyn, and I think he knew of some cases in which women said they were taking the pill and still got pregnant. Don't get me wrong. Lynn was having sex, but she still required that her partners use condoms and she used the pill. I didn't want to risk it, since several friends got their girlfriends pregnant.
