Guys - if you have a girlfriend, friend with benefits, wife, etc. and you use condoms how do you work out what 'fits' you?
Does your girlfriend, fwb, wife, etc help or are we as guys left on our own? I find the concept of trying to work out condom sizing, etc. really taboo and difficult to approach, and I've never felt 'comfortable' using them. Doesn't mean I won't or don't.
I had a horrible experience not too long ago where sex as ruined by a 54 y/o woman asking me if I had 'protection'. I'm 54 myself. I didn't even think it would be a 'thing' at our age to even consider, but obviously I was wrong. I felt very embarrassed and almost humiliated. I don't have any condoms either at home or on my person if I go out (since I don't go out intending to 'hook up').
I suppose it's hard to bring talking about condoms into adult sex conversations, or at least it is for me.
How do women feel about talking with men about sizing, choosing and using them (aside from the main aspects of preventing unwanted pregnancies, etc.)? As a 50+ y/o guy a big part of the reason I'm transfixed with fear about dating is that if I was to date younger than me (like under 45) I'm worried that because I'm so inexperienced with condoms I'll not get anywhere sexually with anyone if there was any chance of that.
