When desire over takes reason a obsession is born

My compassion is what stops me from being an obsessive stalker, not my reason. Reason isn't an emotion but compassion is. I use compassion to accept the loss of someone who no longer wants me in their life. In my infinite kindness, I can put down my own needs.
