I think this argument is unavoidable, as most of our fantasies started since our childhood, watching DID scenes on TV, comics or videogames. Let's talk about our past and present! Mainstream media are still plenty of bondage elements which will drive teenagers forward with passion.

I think that "old" mainstream movies and TV shows (1940s - 1950s) often had a more permissive D/s bent than today. Asymmetrical power dynamics (boss/secretary, rich man / poor woman, older man / younger woman, etc.) were commonplace (reflecting the society of those days), while such power dynamics today are taboo in mainstream media (and rather cartoonish and overly stereotypical in today's porn or "erotic" media).

I think Porn is the best place to find BDSM and fetish images and there is lots of BDSM Erotic writing from writers that know how to paint good visual mind pictures.

I wish the media could figure out how to cool down the current state of arousal, no pun intended, in many respects, not just media, but alleged entertainment. I am appalled by the apparent lack of respect for human life.
