Love - Good sense
"Good Sense"
I don't want a love that's dense,
I want a love that makes, good sense...
I want to taste you,
While navigating every inch of skin,
Staying present in the moment,
Charting this new world that we're in.
I want to taste you,
Enjoying the look upon your face,
My lips, tracing up and down your body,
Just trying to keep a steady pace.
I want to see you,
Through the lens of the universe,
Observing how the pieces fit together,
That make us better, make us worse.
I want to see you,
For everything that makes you, you,
The idiosyncrasies, little quirks,
Joys and the pain, you've lived through.
I want to feel you,
Like a warm blanket on a cold day,
Like being outside for many hours,
Snuggling at night, and everything's ok.
I want to feel you,
The entire essence of your being,
The magnetic pull, the energy exchange,
That goes beyond merely, just seeing.
I want to hear you,
Like an elephant hears a storm, miles away,
Like a cat hears a mouse in another room,
Like a bat, in the night, hears it's prey.
I want to hear you,
Your intentions, your dreams, your goals,
The things that others have ignored,
I want to hear the singing of your soul.
I just want to love you,
Like a sunflower loves the sun,
Like the seeds thirst for water,
When spring has first begun.
I just want to love you,
Like the thunder follows lightning,
Knowing, no matter the weather,
When you lead, it is less frightening.
So, let the rain come, give me a rinse,
Long as I got you, I got good sense!
