OH MY GOSH MY SON JUST PROPOSED TO HIS GIRLFRIEND ON TOP OF A MOUNTAIN IN BANFF TODAY!!!!!!!
The twins were her best friend since grade 1 or 2 until she moved away in grade 4! When the twins were little I sat them down and told them that they weren't allowed to date her until they were 16!!!! That means no kissing, or stuff like that, both of the twins burst out crying! I felt bad, but I was just trying to preserve their purity.....Anyways the twins got back in touch with her through facebook, and she would come out to our neck of the woods to visit family and they would hang out together! One of the twins kept in touch with her and would drive across the province to go and visit her, when her mom and her friends asked him what his intentions were, and he said uncomfortably ummm we're just friends!? But her mom pushed for more! They loved him!!! And they developed a long distance relationship...Until they were both ready to move out on their own....My son cried the day she asked him to move in with her, not because he wasn't happy to be with her, but he was sad to leave his identical twin brother and our family behind....But she was studying to be a teacher in Southern Alberta, and he got a job on the oil rigs and it just worked out for them.....A few weeks ago my son asked her dad for his permission to propose to their daughter, he brought a bottle of champange and they love my son, so it was a done deal!
Then this weekend, our Daughter, and Youngest Son, drove all the way to Banff Alberta, to join their older brother and his girlfriend to go skiing in Banff, They got an Air BNB and met up together....My son had a ring custom made for his girlfriend soon to be Fiance, It's a kite shaped diamond with sapphires around it, it's really really beautiful and just the right size not too big not too small but Gorgeous! And then today, while on top of the world, on the Mountain top, he got down on one knee, ring in hand and proposed to his beautiful girlfriend and she was so surprised she didn't know what to say but YES!!! Her mom and dad came down and they are having a party right now for the occassion....And I can hear the angels make music!!!! God bless them! I'm sooo happy what a way to end the night!!!, I just found out, and typed this as my reaction!
