You don't need to fit into a box, like society expects you to be in a relationship but you do you. Some just go through a period where they need to be by themselves. You also can't control love, you can't make it happen when and where you want. My advice is like, just focus on what makes you happy. Hobbies, jobs, learning, travel, whatever it is, go do it, and love will find you when you are ready! I know it sounds corny but its true. A happy you will attract someone into your life. A you that is trying too hard and frustrated likely won't.

Anger and rage is a feeling....let's say you live and work with cute little puppies.
Unless you really dislike them you won't feel it.
Love has a different meaning for everyone.
Maybe after all the chaos you mistakes peace for love.
Everyone could mistreat you and if you find someone who doesn't that's not exactly love....but without a good baseline, it's tough to determine what it is/means for you.

Love has many forms and twists and turns. Sometimes it starts slow, sometimes quick; same for the endings. Give yourself time to learn and grow and don't be afraid to keep your heart to yourself for awhile till someone new opens it.
Love is a mind set and actions that enforce it. Without actions love is meaningless and without the right mind set about it loves a chore.

Several reasons
Your not meeting the right person
Your not over your so called first love
Your expectations are unrealistic
Your looking for it so it won't happen to you least expect it

What did your puppy love feel like?

@Loveless Well, if should not base if you're in love or not based on puppy love. Puppy love is like a firework. It's bright, intense, warm, and fleeting. It does not last long. Love itself, to me at least, isn't a feeling but more of a condition. I've been in love with the same person for years now and there have been times when she made me feel like a king or made me want to pull my hair out, but no matter what I feel toward her at any moment, I still love her. I still care about her and want what is best for her.

I'm not sure if everyone feels love the same way. For me, it's a combination of a deep sense of caring and a desire to be around and interact with them. I don't really get the fireworks moments like portrayed on TV.
Your past trauma could certainly impact how you feel love though.
