Saying this while this is not currently happening to me on this site
..but is happening in my life.
Y'all, for goodness sakes alive, there is a mighty difference between remaining CONSISTENT for a girl..letting her know of your interest, that you want to be in the running, wanna-be-a-contenda, etc...
vs.
STAGING A SIT-IN. Relationships aren't ike the 70s when my mom could say she wasn't leaving until a place gave her a job. If anything, it is another way to be dead to a female.
Let me put you on game, as far as my perspective. I, and many others, like the CHASE. If you roll over and play dead at ANY juncture..I will not be interested. Who wants road kill when they can have filet mignon?
It is just like when a girl "gives up the goods" early and y'all label her a 403. I don't want all your EMOTIONS early either!!
We live in a time when narcissism and love 💣'ing are at all time high. And I'm sorry, I'm glad you think God led you to me and that you date with a marriage mindset..but I'm still in my Georgina Clooney bachelorette era!!
A few words of unsolicited advice that some of you really need to hear:
- Do NOT message, text, call or *shudder* show up morning, noon, and night! I know where to find you should I want you!!
- Put out a vibe and an aura of chill, and she will come to you
- Once she DOES come to you, compliment her now and then but subtly let her know you have other options too
- Do NOT try to get physical till months down the line, except for 15 seconds of the coziest hugs ever
- When you compliment her but don't act on it entirely or even ask her on a date for some time, it will get HER gears churning and flip the script in your favor some
- Do not cook her dinner on the first date, do not even take her on a dinner date..keep it so chill that she wonders if it even is a date. This could mean driving wherever "north" takes you and singing your hearts out to "Careless Whisper" at passing cars
- Let her know you had a life before her, that you have one during her, and will after. Make her wonder how she could fit into that puzzle.
Y'all listen. I have a guy showering me with praise, all up in my inbox, saying God led him to me, etc. He is a strength trainer, day trader, and runs manufacturing at a major company. He has abs for dayyyys.
But the one my heart PINES for? The 5'4" dude with crinkles by his eyes, joy in his spirit, great music taste, a hard life leading up to me that he remains positive about regardless, beanie hats, and crazy neighbors.
I can tell he likes me, but he CONTROLS himself, and it is HOTTTT.
