Gas station flowers🤷‍♀️

So I'm dating this new guy for awhile now and he brings me flowers, they're a little "not fresh" but I was still thankful as I was cooking a big meal for us, however when I asked about it he was like, "oh yh these I picked them up at the gas station" part of me is like gas station flowers really? You couldn't pop into M&S and grab me something prettier and fresher but also part of me is like it's the thought that counts but then part of me is like, one of my married friends, the girls I follow on Instagram, don't get gas station flowers, then another part is like girl stop thinking too much, so would you accept gas station flowers, or is it selling yourself cheap?
Can you really be cheap in a relationship, if the guys still dating you?
Should you set higher standards or settle for what you get?

This is a gift I treasure that I received a while back by a little girl that knocked on my half open door. I really don't know her very well. Just one of the neighborhood kids I've seen around.

As you can see it wasn't even bought! Why do you believe bought and more expensive things are better? 🤔😞

Just the fact that she was willing to approach me and knock on my door ment the world to me.

It's something not even adults are willing to do.

@DeWayfarer that's cute, one time I remember being little and seeing a neighbor that recently moved in, he was a widower, I heard my mum talking about it, so one time we saw him in the neighborhood, I asked my mum to invite him to tea, since I knew he was lonely, they still speak on Facebook to this day👍maybe she gave you a lil something you needed✨

@Hikikomoribabe99 I find it ironic that a little girl, not more than six years old was willing to do something she only seen around a few times, rather than adults that have seen me for over four years.

You see this place where I live discourages any kind of friendliness or courtesy.
