I got invited to play dungeons and dragons last night.

Idk if I will, but he did promise free pizza.
Is this the birth to my geek phase?

Hold up, let me ask my paladin.

(I don't even know what that is, is this cultural appropriation?)

You're safe. D&D type Paladins never actually existed, lol.
@Whodunnit what does this even mean?
I used the only word I know besides dungeons and dragons. I know it's hard to tell but I've never played it before

@HijabaDabbaDoo Paladins are holy warriors. Usually clad in plate armour and able to channel divine energy to heal people or harm the undead.

Hence no real world equivalent.

It's quite a solid class to start out with.

@Whodunnit You're the one telling the beginners to play Paladins? Who was the DM that hurt you?
Whodunnit · M
@Jessmari Well, I guess it might depend on the edition but I found them easy to play in 3.5.

You're pretty tanky, can do decent damage, and you have time to learn combat mechanics before your magic abilities kick in.

I think the only downside is balancing the points allocation for attributes.

@Whodunnit sure mechanics wise they are fun. Rp wise they can be tricky.

Wait, she should play a Paladin that's a total Karen. Nevermind, I'm keeping this idea. My DM deserves this.😈

@Jessmari lmao, that would actually work really well 😅
@Jessmari @Whodunnit excuse me, are you guys insulting me in nerd? Enough of the profanity, please
Whodunnit · M
@HijabaDabbaDoo Heaven forbid 😲

We shall instead teach you the ways of the nerd!
Jessmari · 46-50
@HijabaDabbaDoo I would never. The most important thing is to have fun. Run wild with it.
