Your first prayer you learned by heart - did you recite it every night before you went to sleep?

First the Lord's Prayer. Second the grace that was used at meal times at school. That was in Latin. I can still recite it 60 years later.

@SW-User Thanks, but it's not really amazing. At our age long-term memory is often better than short-term. I can also remember Tottenham's 1961 FA Cup winning team, or at least I think I can, and I'm an Arsenal supporter! But I sometimes forget whether I have put sugar in my tea in the morning.

True... all of what you said.

But you know, about a month ago I discovered one of my high school yearbooks from the mid 1960s was posted page by page on the internet. I remembered most of the people (okay - most of the hot chicks!) all wrong. They didn't look anywhere near as alluring as my brain had apparently morphed them over the years.
