My prayers are with him. It's giving me bad flash backs of Vickie. If he has to have any bypasses I pray they hold up better than hers did. She had a top notch surgeon but weak veins.

@Gibbon I have never even heard of Goody's powder before...but how awful! I gave myself ulcers when I had a broken tooth and could not get into see a dentist for over a month. One of my friends told me that ibuprofen was my friend, and I took so much of it I ended up with THREE ulcers! Thankfully, they have mostly healed on their own. I have to be very careful though, and I can't take NSAIDs.
I am happy that the last part of Vickie's life was happy, with you.

@4meAndyou I feel lucky. I had a bad case of costochondritis with a lot of chest pain and was taking 800mgs of ibuprofen 3 times a day. How i didn't get an ulcer I don't know. But that inflammation is caused by stress as far as I know and when I got divorced it all went away. And this was my first wife and and a stress free divorce. I can't explain it but obviously something about was subconsciously eating at me. I never held any I'll toward her but done was done. I learned that she passed away in November 2020. We were the same age so she was 66. I'm guessing it was covid from what her brother in her eulogy. He said after a sudden short illness shortly after moving to North Carolina. The timing for covid would have been right

@4meAndyou mine was between the ribs and sternum. I was smoking then but had no cough. There are many possible causes but in my case I'm convinced it was stress and anxiety. While it subsided after divorce work was related also. But I was feeling stressed in the last years of the 14 yr marriage but I can't say why.
