all chiristians are fundies. they just draw the line at different places. Some drawl the the line at bible is the infaliable word of god . some draw the line at JC is their lord and savior. some draw the line at there is a soul and an afterlife.
some go with "god said it, i believe it that settles it" and others retreat to it is just my belief" ( (with no supporting evidence.)
but what makes them a fundie isn't how intolerable or judgemental they are but more how inflexible they are to discenting opinions on various topics and antagnostic they are to the request for evidence.
the ones you are referring to are mean-spiritied, and will probably gloat with glee at the idea of a non-believer burning in hell for all eternity (which is like saying santa is putting coal in our stocking for the record) but to be a fundie they just have to hold a belief that lacks, evidence and isn't open to discussion
