why are christian children not allowed to watch Harry Potter movies ?

I don't know much about Harry Potter so really don't know, but check this:

Didn’t know this was a thing? I’m catholic though and as far as I’m aware we are good with Harry Potter…

@Notladylike I am pretty sure that with most Christians, it is not a thing. But the ones who do have objections make the most noise. And the ones who make the most noise are the ones most quoted by those antagonistic to Christianity, to reinforce their "confirmation bias."

Many Christians, like myself, have no problem at all with those stories. I read the first two books to our daughter at bedtime. (She read the rest on her own - as did I!)

But some Christians will react to any stories popularizing witches as Satanic.
I know a lot of Christians who let their children see those movies. But admittedly, they’re not fanatics.
