I don't know that it's not. But in general I'm not too big on religious beliefs that condemn a huge portion of the population to eternal torment for not believing the right thing. Religions with a concept of "exclusivity" don't have a lot of appeal to me, even if that is the opposite intended effect of that kind of teaching.
