because of those who follow it. They want others to respect their faith and beliefs yet show no respect to others of any other faith

@Torsten I can handle people rejecting My beliefs.. After i share the Gospel and they reject it then i can walk away with my conscience clear.. I can handle peoples hatered towards me for sharing the Gospel.. I am not a thin skinned,, run to my safe space,, SJW type.. In fact Jesus told Christians they would be hated and mocked for their Faith in Him..

@Torsten Well i KNOW people Need to hear the Gospel.. But from my life experience doing this kind of thing online for over 20 years most people don't want to hear the Gospel.. And i have NEVER forced anyone to Believe anything.. The whole ""forcing it down others throats"" is lying propoganda..

@Torsten The LORD Jesus told Christians to share the Good News ( Gospel ) with all nations all peoples.. And Christians have been doing that for near 2000 years and those who are foreknown by God have been accepting the loving offer from God in each generation.. No i do not share the Gospel for myself.. I read it and accepted it when i was in my early 20's around 30 years ago.. And of course i never force my beliefs.. People can and do reject the Gospel all the time.. So yeah the whole forcing Christianity line that you repeat is just false propoganda.. No human being can force another human being to believe anything.. I have shared the Gospel with you and you have rejected it, correct!!! So you have not had anything forced down your neck have you... Nope..

@Torsten Nope thats not forcing anything.. A doctor telling me i need a vax shot for influenza is not forcing me to take it.. People threatening me with dismissal from my job if i fail to take the vax are attempting to force me to take the vax...
And Yes people Need to believe as i do in regards to the Gospel.. But in the end i get no personal reward from God if they believe and i get no penalty from God if they don't.. I am already saved.. It's the person i am sharing the Gospel with that either gets the benefit or penalty..

@Torsten I know so many Christians being a Christian myself and I have rarely met any Christian that knowingly disrespects the faith of others.
Christians do not believe in the validity of other faiths but I think that this is true of anyone who has a faith which condradicts other faiths. This is not equal to disrespect.
Also many people will call themselves Christians by association, perhaps they were raised loosely to believe in a god or they celebrate many typical religious holidays.
They may have been baptized as babies but most of these people are not Christians actually. Sadly this is true for the majority that call themselves by the Christian name. They do not read the text, they do not understand The Bible, they do not study, they do not live by the word, they do not pray unless in an emergency. They do not have a personal relationship and commitment to follow God.
Very common, but if you ask them they will state that they are Christian and repeat some stuff their parents told them which often is not biblical.

@REMsleep I'm a Christian and I have no respect for the religions of others. If I did I would not be a Christian. I respect the person and I accept other people's rights to believe whatever they want to believe but that does not mean I respect what they believe.
REMsleep · 41-45, F
@hippyjoe1955 Well respect is merely allowing a person to practice their beliefs in peace and not speaking badly of them or seeking to hurt them or calling them names but I said in the 1st few sentences of my post that real Christians do not respect the validity of other religions.
So I offer all decent people my respect but I do not believe that all religions are valid. I think we agree.

@REMsleep As a Christian I don't respect any other religions WITH CAUSE! You can't hold all religions to be equal when they are all saying something different. It doesn't work that way. That isn't tolerance that is insanity. Either one is true and all the others are false or none of them are true including the believe than none of them are true.
