why would God test us if he already know the result ? [I Hate Religion]

When ever someone's life goes down the toilet they call it a test, they god is testing your faith but the problem sometimes these "tests" are not temporarily they are a life long tests like living with a genetic defect or a metal illness and i saw on TikTok someone saying being Gay is a test from god.

You fail the test if you lose your faith but how can someone maintain a strong unshaken faith for their entire life ? some people might pull it off but some people cant, they are weak and God knows that more than anyone else.

I just dont get it, why God would put someone through so much pain only to see if they gonna continue licking his balls or not and he already knows the answer because he is GOD but he does it anyway.

Because we have Free Will and not a predetermined destiny, i.e., Fate
TheBatQueen · 22-25, F
@HoraceGreenley do we really have free will? if God doesnt know our future and is he really a God?
HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M
@TheBatQueen Yes...because He is leaving up to us.
@HoraceGreenley

not a predetermined destiny[quote]

Nah bro

"...In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ...

"For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified."

"Not only that, but Rebekah's children had one and the same father, our father Isaac. Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad - in order that God's purpose in election might stand: 12not by works but by him who calls - she was told "The older will serve the younger". 13Just as it is written: "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated".

@Pikachu Yup...pretty cool. God even loves you
But it doesn't apply to everything
@HoraceGreenley

lol not too familiar with your bible, are you?

Be careful about the statements you take for granted just because that's what you learned in church.
HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M
@Pikachu That's not what it means.
@HoraceGreenley

lol i'll wait while you google a better response than that...
HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M
@Pikachu Predestination:

The universality of salvation means that it is granted not only to those who explicitly believe in Christ and have entered the Church. Since salvation is offered to all, it must be made concretely available to all. Grace comes from Christ; it is the result of his Sacrifice and is communicated by the Holy Spirit. It enables each person to attain salvation through his or her free cooperation.

You must choose salvation by your own free will.

in other words, "...therefore he establishes his eternal plan of "predestination", he includes in it each person's free response to his grace."

You Bible passage is from the Old Testament. The New Testament has a different views.

Now, if you want to pick passages without context to make your point, then you are missing the forest for the trees.

Anyway, this is what I believe.
@HoraceGreenley

lol you actually did google your response. You could have at least cited it.

The OT is part of the bible. It is, according to you, part of the word of god and you don't get to ignore the inconvenient parts just because they contradict the church dogma you were fed.

You cant have free will and predestination because it means that you WILL make choices x,y and z otherwise god cannot include them in his plan.

Sorry bud, googling your responses doesn't take the place of thoughtful consideration.
HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M
@Pikachu Sorry dude, but that's not what St. Augustine said. If I have to choose between the two of you, I'm going with St. Augustine.

You believe whatever you want.
@HoraceGreenley

Sure, no reason to actually think through an argument yourself if you can just deploy an appeal to authority logical fallacy.

P.S Hope you've got a new name in mind. lol
HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M
@Pikachu
You're like the blind me trying to describe an elephant.
@HoraceGreenley

And you're like the man listening to him and taking it for granted without bothering to look at an elephant yourself.😁

HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M
@Pikachu Clearly you don't know the story, or have read St. Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, Thomas More, or the New Testament.

Look you do what you want.
@HoraceGreenley

Clearly you feel the need to dismiss me without being able to actually articulate any argument for yourself.
Womp womp.

HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M
@Pikachu It's mind over matter.

I don't mind because you don't matter.
@HoraceGreenley

lol that would have been more believable if it came 3/4 of an hour ago😏
