Thanks for the memory! I used to watch that when I was little! No wonder I always knew it was Western civilization that was going down. Not just the US.
Without socialism and some free handouts we'll kill the ecosystem and ruin society. He seems to want us all working - back then it was non controversial.

I have several CDs of his broadcasts which I enjoy greatly, although I think I am too young to have heard them originally.

I think it would be no more possible to describe American society without reference to religion than it would be medieval Europe.
