What is your opinion of people who stand in the street and encourage people to come to church?

As a relative newcomer to church, I was always slightly wary (maybe even a bit horrid about them) we met a super nice girl in Edinburgh today who changed my mind. But I do understand people’s nervousness in talking to people on the street.

You don't have to talk to street preachers if you don't want to.. They are mostly focused on sharing their beliefs so they want to be doing the talking.. If you have a question then sure try to ask it.. Some of them will be more open to dialogue and some will be less enthusiastic about it.. Generally most street preachers like it when the public engage with them, I understand why some people would be nervous.. It is in public so any discussion will be like a public performance and a lot of people have stage fright..
