What is your opinion of people who stand in the street and encourage people to come to church?

As a relative newcomer to church, I was always slightly wary (maybe even a bit horrid about them) we met a super nice girl in Edinburgh today who changed my mind. But I do understand people’s nervousness in talking to people on the street.

Preaching the gospel in the streets is something one must really be called for by the Holy Spirit, or it will be disastrous. It's not easy, and some have even been killed for it.

It may seem odd to some, because people aren't accustomed to it and have not been exposed to much of that in this day and age.

Jesus said to go out and spread the gospel to all nations, so I see nothing wrong with it. Depends on how the gospel is delivered, as to the effects it will have. It should always be delivered with love.
