A friend coworker invited me to go with him to some sort of holiday party in church and in an attempt to break out of my introverted zone, I accepted.
But as soon as I arrived every body started doing their recruitment business, asking shit like:
- Are you new here? I’ve never seen you before! - For how long have you been in this city? How come you’re Christian and never been here! - Why you don’t visit us regularly? - We wanna see you every week!
And the priests started treating me as if they found an abandoned poor lost orphan and one of them started his unsolicited hugs and shit which makes me so uncomfortable, and what made it even worse is how he asked for my mobile number as well as many other people so they can pretend like we’re family and shit and keep nagging me to go to church and hang out with them and ask about me when I’m absent (which is pretty much most of the year)
I don’t wanna be mean and block everyone 😬 but why they gotta be so clingy 😫
