Church felt like high school [I Dont Go to Church]

I went with my former best friend for awhile. I noticed in service certain groups of people would sit with each other. In my youth group there was drama between the boys and the girls. We would go to lunch together and girls would talk shit about who they didn't like. Who they liked. Who they wanted to date. Everyone dressed a certain way and on my first day I felt so out of place with my clothing. I have a strong faith in God and I felt like being alone I connect with him so much easier than going to church.

When I was very young, in high school, I was disillusioned also by the kind of people who attend church. It was all about competition, fashion, and little else amongst the bird brained.

You are to be commended for being able to see that a relationship with God is the only relationship that counts.

Some people go for the social gathering as well, like my grandma she always makes friends there. I usually never talk to nobody,I just listen to the priest and pray.

As a former pastor's kid, I have very little time or regard for the church. :)
