I have a personal rule in my life. If I meet, or even just interact, with someone who looks sad, or uncomfortable or frightened, or who seems to have undergone a personality change in the direction of depression, I look into it. I don't wonder if something might be wrong, I check it out. If that person is in possible trouble, I consider it my business if that person is a member of the human race.

Maybe next time you see her, you could find an excuse to speak to her, ask if she is OK, maybe find a reason to arrange a social meeting (class reunion committee...?) Or give her your phone number. Let her know you like her and would be glad to hear from her. She might really need a friend.
Yes, this is a shame, and not necessary. God looks at the heart, not at rituals. One cannot earn their way to heaven.
Well done for recognising her from just her eyes tho 😊

What if she's not sad and you're just assuming things.

@pastelrose: Hmmm...have you thought about approaching her when out in public because you guys have that high school connection?
