I Am Not Against Religion, Just the Crimes Done In Its Name

over the past few weeks when going into town and the shops near me , I have seen a young muslim girl around my age shopping as well , she always stared at me , and I felt like I knew her from somewhere , and I realised we used to go to high school together , we werent in the same classes or social group , but over the few weeks when ive seen her , ive realised how much shes changed , she wears a hijab now which covers most of her face leaving only her eyes to view , I dont think its a burqua because it doesnt cover all her body , her eyes look really sad , shes always accompanied by a male , she seems nervous and quite . at school she was chatty , would always wear a lot of makeup , really beautiful makeup . I cant stop thinking about her and worrying about her despite the fact we barely knew each other .

You're making a lot of assumptions.

I assume those assumptions could be right.

@SWTHN: We don't have the time nor the resources never to assume things.

@SWTHN: That there have been wrong assumptions does not disprove my statement.

@SWTHN: That I lean to the negative is an assumption 😉 (though you already said that through the word 'seem'). But let me give an example: a police officer hears screams coming from a house. He can't look inside and the door is locked. Should he force the door? It may be as innocent as roleplaying, it may be there is a murder going on. I think he needs to assume the worst and force the door to see what is happening inside.

@SWTHN: Indeed I confirmed the negative there, not much since I used the word 'could', but yes. If you meant I lean to the negative only this instance and not in general you are right. I still do assume her assumptions could be right.

@SWTHN: Yes, police departments have policies, but now you just want to have the last word.

@SWTHN: i dont get why a women should have to cover herself to remove the temptation of men . women have a right to wear what they want without being harassed

@SWTHN: You don't know it was based on nothing. At least I assume you did not see the same womans eyes and in that case you cannot verify. Agreed however that a conversation would have improved understanding.

I assumed the topic starter could be assuming right. This is not even much of an assumption. By sheer chance she could be right.

Anyways I don't think we agree soon and you have someone else starting a discussion with you. I know I haven't convinced you and that's fine, I don't have a bad opinion on you and think you're a guy who means well.

@SWTHN: Yes, I see read the part on based on nothing wrong. I missed the 'but things she believes are true' part. It is tempting to correct and continue the argument, but I already offered to end the discussion.
