No hate like Christian “love”.

Sure in some cases, which is unfortunate. The same can be said about any other group of people though, if basing your opinion of the whole group off of only the bad encounters you’ve had.
Not all Christian’s are the same. Not all Christians are even all that Christian to be honest.

More people have been murdered in the name of Jesus than Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and Trump ever dreamed of killing.

Of course it is. People don’t like to be condemned by something. They don’t like requirements either, repent, obey Jesus commands, various things that are required to enter Heaven. Punishment for those that did not, lake of fire. They can’t get around the fact that we must fear Gods wrath. Instead they believe the devils lies and don’t even realize it.
@gregloa It’s not the people themselves that are being hated, but the God in them being bashed because this is a God hating world. Jesus told us, “…because you are not of this world, they will hate you”.
King James Bible John 15:18
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you
King James Bible John 15:19
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, ***therefore the world hateth you.
New International Version
If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. ***That is why the world hates you.
But… many, if not most want to blend in with the world and let their lights burn dim instead of testifying or witnessing to their faith built on Jesus Christ. It’s those that work in the field (trying to warn others or telling the good news of Christ) that suffer persecution and I’ll go a step further, they are also hatred as scripture states above. But those that don’t separate themselves from the evil of the world won’t feel much persecution. However those that live Godly (not perfect) will most certainly be rejected and sometimes despised as well as persecuted. It hurts to be rejected by people we care about but Jesus has to be first. He taught us the greatest commandments are to love God with all your heart, mind and soul and love your neighbor as yourself. He also told us that to forsake all (even family members) and follow him, and we’d be rewarded 100 fold in this life and the world to come.
Mark 10:29-30
“And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,”
Mark
“But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.”
Don’t mean to sound so negative but these are truly the words of the Living God. 🙂
When I see a professing Christian that this world loves, it tells me volumes.
PS I know you know these things but I post for maybe, perhaps someone might gain from them.
You are definitely right, “People don’t like to be convicted of their sins”.

@gregloa I left this out.

@EldritchFox yes there are definitely fake Christian’s and those with a “holier than thou” point of view.
I had my doubts in the past, and won’t force my beliefs on others. All I can do is strengthen my relationship with God, and try to apply scripture to what is going on in my life. I share some here and there.

Islam is more likely to be hated. It consistently oppresses and engages in hate crimes around the world.
