Yeah. Kenneth Copeland is a huge false teacher, we know.

@whowasthatmaskedman It depends on who.......

@BritishFailedAesthetic I assume you mean which religion. So I will say "All of them." Like any other organisation, they can take a deduction for any actual work of a charitable nature..But nothing else.. Let the Faithful show how generous they are.😷
@whowasthatmaskedman My church doesn't make that sort of money.

@BritishFailedAesthetic OK. Then lets seriously look at that..Option 1. Maybe your church is not appealing to enough people to survive. Maybe amalgamating with a nearly parish is the answer..Or finding a sponsor in the same way community sporting clubs do. I mean no disrespect here. But lets get real for a second. Is it really fair for your Faithful to expect the local Muslims, wikans and atheists to subsidise your beliefs? What have you done for the Buddhists lately?
Or lets look at it another way. Dont you love your Faith enough to pay what it costs to provide it? Services provided or subsidised by the government, like trains, roads and fire brigades are at the service of all, for the public good. Maybe if there was only one state subsidised religion you might have a case for tax exemption..
I would be happy to hear your competing argument on the subject..😷

They don't and by your logic I subsidise theirs.
I'm on Universal Credit so I can't afford to give, I actually love giving to church.

@BritishFailedAesthetic I would genuinely love to hear how you cuurently subsidise other religions (by my logic) I believe that each belief system should pay its own way in society through corporate operations (like selling bibles or Holy Hamburgers) and should pay its taxes like everyone else.😷
@whowasthatmaskedman I don't. And noones subsidises my church either.
And quit pretending you're right wing 🤭

@BritishFailedAesthetic I am neither left, nor right wing. I am an economic rationalist. That means I want to know who is going to pay for it (Whatever "it" is) And how do we get the biggest bang for our buck. To be religious is a choice. Unlike eating or having some place to sleep. As an atheist its simple for me to say that. I dont believe. But thats not my proof. My proof lies in the fact there there are so many religions, all claiming to be right. And most condemning the teachings of all the others. Sometimes on pain of torture or death. Only one at most can be right. So all the others are frauds and should be treated as such. Or at least not sheltered by the government. As for the one religion that is right, well religion is all about the afterlife. Taxation is paid in this life from earnings gathered in this life. "Render unto Caesar what it Caesars... Render unto god what is gods." But thats in the next life..😷
