wrong beliefs work better when everyone follows such thing. I have come to conclude the American form of governance doesn't work because indeed we have become more authoritarian. we were to free and now we are seeing the consequence of taking humans out of the equation of nuclear family.

That's the parents choice what their kids are taught which is usually their belief system
How do you expect a parent to teach what they don't believe anyway

Parents do not have to teach them different religions, idealistically they should tell them about the history of religions and the way they operate.

Parents are responsible for raising their children. It is better that they teach their beliefs before schools teach theirs.

@Pfuzylogic They are indeed legally responsible for the physical and moral well-being of their children , but having a child doesn't always mean the parent is actually concerned with the well-being of their offspring, some are more interested in exerting power over them.

Or people could just stop spiritually or religiously abusing kids.
My mother, an extremist uber xtian, once asked me what church would I prefer when I grew up, she threw orange juice in my face when I said christian science, a more metaphysical belief rather than fundamentalist.
