As has been true since the Crucifixion, finding true Christians who actually follow Jesus’ teachings is hard, yes.
People joining a church because it’s the right church, even when the pastor flies by personal jet, drives a Lamborghini. The church has become a networking tool.
It’s not the faith, it’s the people.
For that reason, I no longer belong to a church and don’t define myself as Christian, but as a believer in an entity far more significant than I am.

@Mamapolo2016 private jets? Lambos? I don't think I've even set foot in a church with a pastor who drives a Mercedes

@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP Nor have I, but “ministers” have been doing it for decades. Some for centuries.
Here’s a short list of pastors committing fraud. Some pretty high-tier fraud.

@Mamapolo2016 oh so that's why I've not encountered any: I haven't been cross-crossing North America, checking out every church there is, so I could find those half dozen.

@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP Neither have I. Ever. I see it in the news feed.
My dad was a pastor, and a good one. I believe in God. I do my best to walk in Jesus’ steps, which is a learning process. I’m in pre-k.
I do not WANT to see this happening. But it’s there, in front of God and everybody. When we don’t react to “a half-dozen” it only enables the thieves. But there are far far more than a half dozen.
