I found The Chosen to be beautiful and inspiring. The man who plays Jesus VERY accurately projects the pure LOVE he felt for almost every soul he encountered.
From the salvation of Mary Magdalene, to his secret meeting with Nicodemus, in which he lovingly encourages Nicodemus to leave his wife and his wealth and follow him...
...to his TRULY loving forgiveness of the tax collector Matthew, and the story of how he left his tax collecting to follow Jesus...it is a beautiful series of inspiring occurrences from the New Testament.

@4meAndyou Exactly! Jonathan Roumie is very devout in real life, and like Jim Caviezel, he prays to Jesus to tell him what he wants him to express about Him to the audience. He hosts a prayer podcast, participates in the March For Life, and never forgets the importance of what he represents in his role as the Lord's representative.

@AbbeyRhode I found Jonathan Roumie perfect in his portrayals.

@4meAndyou Me, too. I wondered who could possibly follow Jim Caviezel, but Jonathan is just as amazing. I feel he expresses the humanity of Jesus, while Jim expressed His divinity more. They are two very important sides of His personality.

@AbbeyRhode If Roumie is praying to Jesus to TELL him how Jesus wants to be portrayed, I think Jesus is answering him...because his humanity is what touches our hearts so completely.

@4meAndyou But then why is The Chosen depicting the Bible in a wrong way?

@DanielsASJ If the Chosen depicted the Bible exactly as it was written, it would not lend itself to the cinematic arts.

@4meAndyou You watch Jesus of Nazareth. It is available on YouTube. There I find more than 90% Biblical accuracy. And so far, I have never found anyone in role of Jesus Christ better than him.

@4meAndyou I feel that, too. :)
