My family keeps pressuring me to go to church

But everytime they do that I get more and more distant and it makes me feel “unworthy” which makes me suicidal…😔 I just wish they’d stop

I now have an agreement with my family, I go on Christmas Eve and that’s it. My nana always asks if I want to join her but there’s no pressure

I'm so sorry. I grew up that way. My heart goes out to you.

Which church?

@GeistInTheMachine I’m sure they do it cause I like guys…😔 I already struggle with that issue myself I don’t need others saying I’m going to hell

@Jokekilla I really hope you get out of there!
@Jokekilla I know how you feel, my mom used to say the same thing until I came out and said love is love and it took some time and she finally changed her mind.
Before my mom passed away she grew to love my boyfriend and they got along really well, my dad will do anything for us and all we have to do is ask.
No you aren’t going to hell because you like guys, be true to yourself and life will get so much better.
If you’re not into going to church then just tell them to stop, tell them how it’s affecting you.
If they respect your beliefs then they need to stop ASAP

Do you have a response when they tell you to go? Sometimes a planned response helps.
Jokekilla · 26-30, M
@HannahSky No because it catches me off guard, I just get upset

@Jokekilla it might be worth it for your own sake to have a response. Something that stops the convo but is respectful to your feelings.
Go to church... NAKED!

To me the choice is whether one decides whether or not faith and or spirituality is for them. If it is then sprinkling in some church is optional. I find some ability to focus when I go.
