A quote by keir hardie.

Im not a religious person. But this type of Christianity i can get behind

‘Those of us who for many years past have practically deserted the religious platform, have not done so because our faith in religion has grown less, but because the Church thought fit to specialise in what it most unfairly calls the spiritual side of Christianity.’ His key message was, ‘Christianity on its social side can never be realised, if it is to be interpreted in the light of Christ’s teachings, until there is full free communism…… The rich and comfortable classes have annexed Jesus and perverted His Gospel. And yet He belongs to us…. Make no mistake about this. The only way we can serve God is by serving mankind. There is no other way

Keir Hardie knew nothing of the Gospel of Christ, the Gospel of Christ is to trust in his shed blood on the cross for the forgiveness of sin against a Thrice Holy God and if he held this position when he died, he is burning in hell, never to leave.

Christianity on its social side can never be realised, if it is to be interpreted in the light of Christ’s teachings, until there is full free communism……

@Guitarman123 No, that's a good cause, but salvation can only come by trusting in Christ's shed blood for the forgiveness of sin.

@BritishFailedAesthetic yet we still sin and injustice is accepted
@Guitarman123 We are all sinners, correct.

And in a world with original sin, there will always be injustice, but God is sovereign.
Guitarman123 · 36-40, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic why not make our world a better place to live? To just accept injustices for the hope you'll have a better afterlife is mental
@Guitarman123 Where do I accept injustices?

I do my part by giving to charity, you know, practical action.

@BritishFailedAesthetic thats good n all. But what about working class people who struggle to make ends meet while big businesses earn billions in profits? Surely its our duty as citizens of the world to speak up against exploitation committeed by privatisation and the state
@Guitarman123 Nothing wrong with privatisation (but not privatisation of public transport).

Yesh, my wife and I are well aware of having to watch every spend whilst owning a tiny flat, I'm well aware thanks.
Guitarman123 · 36-40, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic privatisation breeds greediness and exploits people for financial gain. The very man who suppsedly epitomises Christianity might have an issue with that

n the Bible, Jesus said that it is more difficult for rich people to enter the Kingdom of Heaven than for a camel to go through the eye of a needl
@Guitarman123 Repeat the verse he says after that.

He also mentioned hell quite alot, contrary to your make believe hippy Jesus.
Guitarman123 · 36-40, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic he was a hippy. Lived of the grid and criticised the state
@Guitarman123 Yeah, hippies aren't God in the flesh and don't atone for sin.

@BritishFailedAesthetic god doesn't exist. To quote marx. Man makes religion
@Guitarman123 Oh you got me, you got me! 😆

@BritishFailedAesthetic ti quote percy shelley

Every reflecting mind must acknowledge that there is no proof of the existence of a Deity. God is an hypothesis, and, as such, stands in need of proof: the onus probandi rests on the theist.
@Guitarman123 Until you've experienced him.
Guitarman123 · 36-40, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic and seeing as nobody has experienced god. He remains to be in need of proof
