Father, give us insight into the four “R’s” of life, Regret, Religion, Repentance, and Rewards. May we learn that we will never regret accepting your judgement on any question in life. Let us never regret showing consideration to others, or stopping a chain of gossip that is wrecking a reputation. Father, let our religion not be well developed at the mouth, but lame at the hands and feet. Help us to understand that the world is in a greater need for a demonstration of religion than just a definition of it. May our religion not be like a bus that we only ride when it is going our way. Father may our repentance reflect three things, a change of mind, a change of heart, and a change of life. As we give you our “I’m sorry” may our direction in life take a different road. May the sins we loved before be left in the parking lot of life, eternally retired, no refurbishing. Help us to learn that the crowns and rewards we strive for in eternity must first be worn here on earth. Give us the understanding that living a crossless life produces a crossless death with no rewards sent ahead. Today, Father, may we sow our destiny in you, and you alone. Amen.
